I received "my first" invoice from NTTA around 01/19 and it was a late notice. I called them and they said their computer shows an invoice was sent on 12/16 with a due date on 01/15. I have never seen that original invoice and I've never had any problems with my mail. Needless to say, it's my word against theirs. They refused to lift the late fee.
My original invoice was $2.10 and with the late fee they raised to $4.60... It's not about the amount of money, it's about the principle of doing things right. With this company it is a cold shower. What ever happened to the "customer is always right"? They don't have to care about at all, they can issue any fees they want and if you try to fight the system, you can end up paying hundreds or thousands for lawyer fees etc.
Someone with the means should put this company thru a magnifying lense, because this smells rotten. A class action lawsuit should do the trick.
