So, here is another complaint about Cricket. I bought a phone from them in December. I bought the cheapest phone they had, and was talked into getting the $40 a month plan. The problem didn't really start until about a month later, when I moved, and called them to tell them I had moved and get a new phone number.
Within an hour of getting off the phone with them with my new number, I got a phone call from a creditor. Asking me if it was a good time for me to make a payment. (I am working with a non-profit organization to help me reduce my bills and payments, so I just hung up with the collector.) But then I realized that Cricket must have given my new number to them. O
N top of that... The same day, (3 days ago) My brother get's a phone call from the same bill collector asking for me. Now. How the HELL did they get that information? I did give my new address to Cricket. Is there a way for them to look up the residents home phone number just from the address? I don't know. But I think there is. And I think Cricket is selling off all it's customers information to the highest bidder..
I will be calling them soon with a diffrent address and asking to be removed from any kind of selling of my information. And going with a diffrent carrier ASAP.
