On December 4th Continental Express, Inc was purchased by Celadon (a company from Indianapolis, IN) and a message was sent to our on-board computers that told us if we had monies on our Comdata cards (fuel/pay cards) that we needed to remove them immediately. I called Comdata to issue a Comchek to deposit in my bank. When I called Comdata I was informed that the cards had been turned off for non-payment of fuel by Continental. So I called Continental to inquire about the $688.00 that was on my card and was told that I would receive those monies by check in the mail in about a week (it is now a month later and STILL havent received that check).in addition to THAT I am owed payment for around 3000 miles /- that I was told I would be paid for and have not still.in addition to THOSE I am owed $400.00 for a security bond paid on the truck (which has not yet been paid). All told, Continental owes me $2108.00 and there seems to be no payment in sight. I have heard that they have filed for bankruptcy so where does this leave me and all the other drivers that have not been paid? I am frustated with all of this as I am not a wealthy man and count on my paycheck every week as do most other truckers. I would love to hear from someone with advice.
