Fiona Dias, Senior VP of Marketing - I liked Fiona even though I didn't have too much contact with her day to day, but on the occassions that I did, she was very nice.
Unfortunately, as I overheard one of the bigwigs say one time, they don't give her the same level of authority as other VPs because she is Latino.
Basically the guy said, she's only there b/c she's latino and everyone at corporate knows it. She's one of the only minorities on the board - the rest is typical richmond - lily white and baptist. Ain't gonna let no jews or colored mess up our fine board, now, ya hear! (richmond, where circuit city corp. Is located, is still one of the most southern cities around - it was the head of the confederacy - go figure.)
So they work this poor woman but give her 0 responsibility, take everything she suggests and run it by white men for their opinion, and keep her around for diversity's sake.
What a PITY! And what a bunch of old white racists running the show.
