Over 2 months ago, we purchased a brand new winter coat manufactured by Hawke & Co. For our child. The very first day that it was worn, the zipper broke.
The store where Hawke and Co.'s "Puffer Coat" was purchased would not issue a refund or exchange as we had mis-placed the receipt. I then emailed Hawke & Co.informing them that we are not at all pleased with the quality of their merchandise and that our dry cleaner informed us that it would be very costly to replace the zipper. We had paid close to $100 for Hawke & Co.'s Puffer Coat and certainly expected it to last much longer than less than a single day. I also informed them that we could not afford to purchase another brand new winter coat for our child nor should we be expected to have to pay additional money to have their defective zipper replaced.
After a month, I received an email from Hawke & Co stating that my email was being passed on to someone else and I would be hearing from them shortly. Another month has gone by and with the weather turning colder, we had no choice but to have the defective zipper replaced. This cost us an additional $40.00. This is terrible! I then sent a second email to Hawke & Co. But they have chosen to ignore both of my emails. I feel at the very least, they should refund the additional $40.00 it cost us to have their defective merchandise repaired.
