My husband came home on leave, from Iraq, and bought me a beautiful diamond ring from Helzberg Diamonds. Was I wrong! I went to the Mankato, MN store to get an appraisal to insure it and they wouldn't give me one. I could only have a print out of a sales receipt and I was told I had to go to a "jewelry store" if I wanted an appraisal. The print out had N/A printed for cut, clarity and color. Without the 3 c's I cannot insure my Helzberg Diamond ring. I cannot even tell how badly they ripped us off!
My husband also financed the ring through their company and made a few payments ahead because he was serving in Iraq. Guess what? If you don't make "one" payment a month they will charge you late charges... Even to American soldiers serving in Iraq! They were VERY rude to me when I made repeated phone calls to them. The ring was paid of way in advance, only because of the way they ripped us off on interest and late fees for making payments early.
We will never waste our hard earned money at Helzberg Diamonds again. Unfortunately we learned the hard way. Always buy your diamonds and jewelry from a REAL jewelry store! They just want your money and do NOT care about customer service OR satisfaction.
The ring means a lot to me because it was given to me on leave, while my husband was home from Iraq. However, we don't know it's value or if it is even real. What a rip off... To an American Soldier even!!! Shame on you Helzberg Diamonds. Don't waste your money at Helzberg Diamonds!
