On 6/6/08 I was informed of a $1000 free shopping spree, which was followed by another phone call of a magazine "deal" I had agreed to a one time $33.00 deduction from my credit card. Upon checking my credit card statement (online) I noticed an authorized pending deduction of $43.00. On 6/10/08 I called the only number that I could find that wasn't constantly busy or "unavailable" to question the $43.00 deduction and cancel the service. The gentleman on the other end did not give me his name or a cancellation number. I subsequently returned all correspondence unopenned and marked "cancelled" - I attempted to cancel via e-mail and in writing.
In July an authorized deduction of $33.00 was made from my charge account-this was put in dispute and the charge removed. When I found an "800" number to call I once again attempted to cancel-I had refused all magazines which I did not authorize anyone to order for me and cancelled all of these accounts by phone and mail. I was told I could not cancel and to pay or be put into collection-which is where I stand now. I willl not pay these people a dime... I did not accept any service from them yet they continue to hound me...
