I purchased a twin size mattress set. I was then told there would be an additional delivery charge. I could accept that, but I was told it would be 89.99. Then I was asked if there were any items to be picked up for removal.
When I said yes, I was told there is an additional charge of 14.99 per piece.
I spoke to the customer rep and he said there is nothing could be done about it, they rent trucks and drivers for delivery and they have to pay for them (thus the customer pays for them plus an additional fee to Sleepy's).
I said as big as the company is, they should have their own trucks. His response was "That would not be a good business practice".
I think $121 delivery and removal fee is robbery to say the least. I wish I had known about this site before I patronized this store. After reading all the complaints about them, I certainly would not have entered there doors.
I am a senior citizen on a fixed income, taking care of a husband with Alzheimers and I certainly do not need to be ripped-off by a money hungary
business who says they are a four generation owned and run family business.
