You are correct in your assessment of Homecomings. I have completed an on-line form for a Class Action Law Firm to review. I had a re-finance in the works with another company. Homecomings failed to deal in a timely manner so my loan dried up, my appraisal expired and the house here in Las Vegas dropped another $40,000. While Homecomings sat on paperwork. Refinancing is no longer an option and I am either stuck with them with a higher interest rate (the motive behind their lack of action) or let the house go. I have never missed a payment or been late in 5 years, so all beware if you are considering a mortgage with this company.
