Being a widow on a fixed income, I was delighted to find a small hearing aid that I could afford, so I sent for it on Nov. 18. My check was cashed at Bankers Trust, New York City, on Dec. 5. It is now January 20th. I have no hearing aid, no refund, no explanation. Only busy signals, or recorded messages. If there has been almost 1600 recorded rip-offs in the last 90 days, can't we file a class action law-suit, contact the NYC Bunco squad, or something? Are there no laws on the books to protect Amercan citizens? Or are we simply being told "Caveat Emptor"? When is someone going to do something?
I am currently looking at a full page ad from a Smart Shop flyer in my Sunday newspaper from J.D. Marvel Products Inc for all kinds of beautiful bras, the "LACE BRA" teh "COMFORT BRA", the MINIMIZER", the "SUPER SUPPORT" bras, all offered at very low, very enticing prices. How many more people are going to be ripped off before someone does something about this fraudulant company.
