Order Not In Stock For 2 Months, WILL NOT ISSUE REFUND FOR CANCELLED ORDER

I placed an order for border to put in my baby's nursery when I was 3 months pregnant in February. I was told after ordering that it was not in stock but it would be in stock in 2-4 weeks. A month later, I e-mailed to check the status, was told it was still on back order, and I would receive an e-mail reply. I never received a reply.

After 2 weeks, I went online to cancel the order. Amy was who helped me. She was not rude, but she did cancel my order and ensured me that I would receive my refund in 1-2 billing cycles. This was in April. At the end of June, I had not received my refund, so I e-mailed again. No reply. I called and spoke with someone who was extremely rude. I don't remember if it was Becky, Nancy, or who it was. Either way, I was told that my inquiry would be sent to the accounting department to get a status, and I would receive my refund in 1-2 billing cycles.

So when the end of August rolled around, I sent an e-mail to Amy, this time with a read receipt. She replied almost immediately and apologized for my inconvenience, and that again the accounting dept would e-mail me. Didn't happen. So I called AGAIN, this time I spoke with Debbie. She was horrible. Absolutely unprofessional, rude, and no help.

So I asked to speak with her supervisor (the president of the company, who I am told is a Ms. Tammy Billings) and she was told she is unavailable. Imagine that. Anyways, as rude as she was, I was told that she would e-mail me when she heard back from accounting.

So again I wait about 2 weeks, no reply. I went online to the live chat option, and chatted with Leslie. She was about as unhelpful as the rest of them. I was told the same thing. So after today, I called a lawyer in Sandusky OH who specializes in Consumer Affairs problems. He advised me to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, and also to write the Attorney General's Office for poor business practices.

He also offered to file a claim in the municipal court if the first two options do not produce any resolution. He also told me that he knew of the store in Sandusky, and was fairly sure that their store was once a decent store in downtown, but moved to a bigger location and the store front has gone out of business, so they are most likely only operating online. I will continue to push this issue until either a.) I get my refund or b.) I take them to court. No business should be able to operate the way that this one does.
