Mr. Clyde Mackey, Jr. Is a grandfathered in local contractor in Bainbridge, Georgia. Mr. Mackey was known for his work in building homes. However, Mr. Mackey has ripped off several consumers in this area. Mr. Mackey begins the work for you, but never finishes it.
He uses unlicensed individuals to help him, so that he does not have to pay them. He has done many elderly individuals this way as well. I paid Mr. Mackey on August 15, 12,000.00 to do some home repairs to my home. I acquired this money by refinancing my home. Mr. Mackey cashed my check on August 16 and received cash for it.
The only materials he has brought to my home was used materials from other jobs he has done. He has not finished the outside of my home, and has not begun any of the major work he is suppose to do on the inside. He has only repaired some of the holes in my sheetrock, but nothing else.
He had several men from my neighborhood to come and cement my porch, and it looks a mess. The cement was apparently used or old. There are brown marks on the cement and cracked spots all over the cement. Mr. Mackey has cashed my $12,000.00 check, but has not completed 1/4 of the work he was suppose to. I have telephoned him daily. It has been over a year, and nothing.
