Unauthorized charges on my Visa Debit Card. I think possibly I was surfing the web and was offered three magazines subscriptions for a year free, they asked for a Credit card nr
so I gave them my Visa debit nr (like a dummy). They said I could cancel after a year. So when the renewal notices came from the magazines, I sent them back with Cancel Written on them. But I kept getting the magazines. I just thought they were a bunch of dummies (like me) and enjoyed their magazines for free.
Then this month, January my Visa Debit card was charged for three new subscriptions, that I never authorized. I called my Credit Union and they gave me this phone nr 1-800-920-3667. I got and Automated System, I did cancel (I hope) all three subscriptions and they gave me 3 confirmation numbers and they said it would show up on my statement in 1-2 billings. This was all automated, with no real person contacted. I hope that this solves the problem. But I guess only time will tell.
