Allied Leasing, Corp. Was originally a provider of, apparently, software for my Merchant Credit company, Humbolt Merchant Services, which I hired in the year 2000. We received nothing from them, either in terms of hardware or software... Apparently they once provided intellectual property in terms of a software terminal for Humbolt. We used Merchant Partners for the software which we access online via the internet for processing credit card transactions.
On Sept. 5, I reviewed the payments that are automatically deducted from my bank account. There were three monthly fees from 1. Humbolt Merchant Services (35), 2. Merchant Partners ($18) and 3. Allied Leasing, Corp (53.95). I was thinking of cancelling or reducing this burden because I have had very little activity in terms of credit card processing.
I called Humbolt to inquire about my options. I explained the charges but was told that they had never heard of Allied Leasing. They later said that Allied was once associated with them, but not for well over six years. They also said that there is no service being provided by Allied that would have any affect on my ability to process credit cards... That Allied is totally out of the "loop." I also contacted Merchant Partners and was told basically the same thing. That they (Merchant Partners) provide the online software for Humbolt and that Allied is no longer involved.
The bottom line is that Allied Leasing has been charging me $53 per month for the past six years for nothing... Approximately $3,884.40 total.
I called Allied to inquire. I was told that my contract was non-cancellable and that I would have to pay them an additional $951 to stop the monthly payments... Even though they have not provided anything in return for over six years.
I googled them and found that I am not the only one who is being ripped off by this "shady company." I emailed them on Sept. 9 asking for a refund and for them to stop the automatic withdrawals from my checking account. I have not received a response.
I have been advised that the contract with them became invalid the minute they stopped their association with my credit card vendor. I am notifying them accordingly.
