I had planned to begin a company several years ago that would market in Canada. I needed credit card merchant privileges and Allied Leasing was recommended. It was my first business venture and I was unaware of what a "Personal Guarantee" clause did.
2 months after beginning the business, I ran into a snag with the Canadian laws and realized that the business was never going to happen. I called Allied and pleaded with a man that identified himself as Bobby Joseph who told me that I was out of luck in getting them to release me from my FOUR YEAR contract.
Since I value my credit, I paid this thief for the past 4 years which ended January.
I noticed they continued to take payments in February so I called. The lady that answered the phone told me that since I did not submit in writing a 'request' to cease, they would continue to take money FOREVER!
I submitted this written request and was ASSURED they would stop in March and GUESS WHAT! Sure enough, a deduction was made in April.
I am only submitting this in hopes of stopping others from the same headache that I am presently going through.
This company WILL STEAL FROM YOU. Don't be desperate. Get your merchant privileges from a reputable bank. Not this shady, unethical company.
