I received my phone bill for the month of August and it had a charge on there from a company named My I Products for $14.95. My wife called the company to inform them we hadn't made this purchase and we don't want to be charged for something we didn't order. She was told they would not refund the charge because I supposedly had ordered the product. The product is a 1-800 number that is to coincide with a voicemail service. I have an answering machine in my home (not voicemail with my phone service AT&T) so why would I need this service? I then called the company myself to see when I supposedly made this purchase and I was told that it was made on August 2 and they responded (supposedly) on August 5. These correspondents supposedly came through e-mail but I have not been able to find any correspondents between myself and this company! I was told that I could have made the purchase through one of their many advertisers but once again why do I need the service if I have an answering machine at home? The bottom line is I did not order this product and with times being as hard as they are right now, I don't need this type of crap from anyone!
So I am turning this over to the AG's office here in OH and to any attorney that may contact me about this happening to others around the country!
