Do not do buisniess w / this company. Lauran morris who is only a secretary working for this company is passing her self off as a legit realtor. She is advertising apartments for rent on craigslist in quuens NY. She scammed me and a coworker out of 750.00 dollars. We gave her a so called brokers fee 750.00 (which she is not a broker but didnt find out till later) and then a 750.00 deposit to hold the apt.
To make a long story short we decided not to move in to the apt due to me getting a last minute transfer. There was never a contract signed or anything binding us to the apt the 1st months rent would have been due upon meeting this mysterious partner of hers which we never met. She claimed that she would return the money w / no problems. That was 6 months ago!
After many phone calls and promises to return the money nothing has been returned. She claims the market is bad so on and so on. 1 she is not a licensed realtor and 2 she shouldnt be using the realtors office to do deals under the table without their knowledge. I should have known something was wrong when she insisted on cash only and meeeting her down the block from the office.
