Well, everything was fine with our move until the truck driver got to texas. He called around 10:30 am (but he was suppose to be here between 8 and 10). Saying that he was going to be late because his dashboard "lit up like a christmas tree" and is truck was messing up. When he came into our apartment complex he said their was no way his truck could fit through their. Even though we had two people from the office say it should not be a problem because the day be for we moved in an allied truck had just drove through the complex to deliver a different resident's belongings. Then the truck driver could not find a U-Haul to rent any where. So we had to call around for one. After a hour and a half later we finally found a budget truck for the truck driver to rent. Then after giving him the number to the place he called us back. Saying once again his truck was messing up and could not fit through to get to the budget rental place. So we had to give him a ride to the rental place which was about 10-15 miles away. Then on the way to the budget place he made a rude comment that the next time we go with allied and move out-of-state to make sure we reserve our own rental truck so that they can use it when they get their. Now mind you we paid allied 3535.42 in tampa, fl. 599.37 was for a shuttle (or a U-Haul) in our old apartment we were moving out of. Which we had no problem paying. We believe that the reason he needed a shuttle at the apartmentin texas was not because his truck could not fit through but because his truckwas not operateing properly. He even told us that he had to keep his truck runing because he was afaride it would not turn on again. After he was done with our stuff we could see him loading someone else's belongings into the budget truck. So we believe his truck malfunctioned and if he did get into our complex his truck might break down and he would not be able to get out. We do not believe we should of paid 692.71 extra for a shuttle in texas. I constantly contacted allied for three weeks straight and the only anwser they gave me was that they had looked over the facts and decided that if the truck driver thought it was necessary for a shuttle then we had to pay for it. You would think that if it's the company's fault that they need a truck they would pay for it not the customer. We were under the impression that the total we paid befor we left tampa was a flat rate that we paid. Even if that wasn'tthe case I still believe that they should of reimburst us for the shuttle because his truck malfunctioning is not our problem. Or even at the least given us a little bit of a discount for finding him the rental truck and as well driving him to the place. I feel like we were ripped off and i do not want this to happen to anyone else. I would never use allied ever again and i will not recommend allied to my friends and family.
