My wife and I went to a motherhood store to purchase some clothing for her. She filled out a registration card (DO NOT FILL THIS CARD OUT) and like most people we did not read the very fine print on the card nor did the sales person explain to us to read that says, after you recieve the three free Parenting magazines your credit card that you made purchases on will be charged $20.00 for a two year subscription to the Parenting magazine unless you call and opt out of the subscription.
Finding the number to Parenting magazine so that I could call and cancel was like a needle in a hay stack. There are many blogs, forum postings etc about this problem but no one ever lists a number to call directly so, here it is people. The direct number to Parenting magazine to call and get the charges reversed. I was fortunate that i got a very understanding person on the phone who helped me cancel it.
Make sure that when you purchase any items at a Motherhood store you tell the sales associate not to add you to the parenting magazine listing.
