The Working Person's Store
The WORST customer service EVER!

I ordered a product (boots) on the 7th of August. My credit card was billed on the 11th of August. I received no contact regarding shipment nor had I received the item by the 19th, so I opened a customer service ticket online which according to the site is "The best way to contact us". Still no response as of the 22nd, so I submitted an update to the ticket asking again for the status of my order.

Meanwhile I tried the option of contacting "Live support" online chat, and though I continued to try MANY times, I was always directed to leave a message because no operators were available. I did leave messages, but those were also never returned. So, finally on the 25th of August, 18 days after placing my order, and 14 days after being billed, I called the company.

After waiting on hold for over half an hour listening to recordings of how great the company is, someone finally answered. The operator then told me that they were on backorder. When I asked why I was not contacted prior to this, he gave some excuse about their e-mail system malfunctioning. Even if this is true, it does not explain the lack of response from my repeated attempts to reach customer service just to ask a simple question of when I could expect to receive this item. I am told that by next Tuesday, which will be the 2nd of September, my item MAY be available.

Meanwhile I am out $112 with no product. Here is what their website says about this: "Your credit card will not be charged for any delayed items until such time the delayed item is shipped" Obviously a lie. I could have bought these boots elswhere, but the Working Person website boasts such great customer service and such easy returns that I decided to go with them.

In fact, here is another quote directly from their website: "Our customer service division is FANATICAL about giving our customers the very best service possible." I guess you can't believe everything you read, and I will DEFINITELY never make another purchase from them again. False advertisement at its finest.By far the WORST buying experience of my life, and as far as I am concerned this is a rip-off even if the product does arrive because of the time and frustration invested. If this company does something within the completion of my transaction to make me rethink my position, I will post an update. Until then, "Buyer Beware".
