Collection notice for a phone bill i never had

I received a collection notice from arni regarding an old unpaid phone bill that i never had. It has to be over 10 years old as i i have not lived in the city where they say the service was for over 10 years... No phone company would wait over 10 years to collect a debt and i have had phone service with this same provider since then and they have never mentioned me owing them this... This has got to be a scam!!!
