Eceived a collection notice about a verizon communication bill. The number for the account is in a state that I don't even live in. My credit report has nothing in it about this "unpaid bill" Should I ignore this?
The letter that I received stated that if I notify in writing within 30 days that they will provide me with the name of the creditor and obtain verification of the debt or obtain a copy of a judgement and mail me a copy of such judgement or verification.
So what to do now? Has anyone out there heard back from AFNI after they mailed them with questions regarding this bogus collection notice?
