First American Home Buyers Protection Corporation, General Plumbing And Rooter
Faulty Installation of instant hot water dispenser documented by Global Engineering Services Inc. First American Home Buyers Protection Corporation Pasadena, California

First American Home Buyers Protection Corportation and the "Approved Contractors" which MUST be used to make repairs.

On September 2 while on vacation I was called by neighbors who said I had water pouring out of the front and back of my house. It HAS been documented (case # D2662-1001) by Global Engineering Services, Inc. Of Tempe Arizona that the company I called, General Plumbing and Rooter of Antioch, CA - which is an "approved contractor" to repair my instant hot water dispenser (they could not repair it so they replaced it with a new unit) did not properly install the new unit.

The damage due to the 3 days of flooding was devastating. The damage including repairs, daily living expenses, and hotel well exceeded $200,000. This was nothing compared to the three months of HELL we experienced during the daily battles with the insurance company (State Farm) and overseeing contractors.

When I have called for an approved contractor in the past I have had "approved contractors" show up late, not show up at all, not speak english, OBVIOUSLY not know what they were doing, some even had fowl body odor, while others appeared as tho they were homeless. Others have gotten here and simply said they don't know what is wrong, butt hey know how to say you owe me $55.00.
In closing, I don't believe that the "approved contractors" First American Home Buyers Protection Corporation uses are necessarily the most qualified to do the job. If they can't hook up a simple instant hot water dispenser do you really want them repairing / installing a furnace, air conditioner or hot water heater? - That is IF you can get them to cover your loss at all!!
