I was threatened with a bat

On Tuesday the 5th of August I made a phone call to Christian's Towing in regards to the procedures in getting a truck weighed for my personal use. The phone call was answered by a female, we introduced ourselves and I had asked her about truck weighing procedures. She replied back asking me if I had already called earlier in the day. I told her I had not called earlier, that it may have been my boss, I proceeded to ask questions and she cut me off explaining the procedure and told me that it was a simple process. I began to ask her another question and she asked if that was all and hung up on me immediately.

After hanging up on me, a co-worker of mine and I drove down to Christian's towing to talk to the woman in person to see what the problem was. I walked in to the building and was greeted by the woman at the counter, I asked her if she was the woman I had spoke to on the phone earlier and she replied, yes. I asked what the problem was, and she told me that my boss had called earlier and was asking too many idiotic questions. I tried explaining to her in a calm and polite manner that a part of her job was customer service and a part of customer service was answering questions that any customer may have. I got upset after trying to explain to her and resorted to anger. I called her a few derogatory names and she replied in the same manner. There were a few items on the desk which I cannot recall exactly what they were but I was so upset that I pushed the items on the desk towards her. After I pushed the items, the woman reached under the counter rapidly. When I saw her reach for the bat I moved back from the counter because I was in fear for the baby I am carrying in my stomach. She had the baseball bat in both hands and begun to swing the bat around and continuously hit the counter with the baseball bat. She continued to swing the baseball bat directly towards my stomach. I believe she was attempting to hit me directly in my stomach. She was motioning to come around the counter with the weapon in hand attempting to swing at me. I grabbed my phone from my pocket and begin dialing 911 as I proceeded to walk out of the building. When I came out of the building my breathing was irregular and my stomach was starting to contract. My body was shaking and I could not control myself from crying. My co-worker and I drove back to base to the building in which I work and finally came in touch with the police, I was told to write a written statement which would be picked up from me later in the day by the police officer. After I hung up with the police officer, my boss and I tried to contact the manager of Christian's towing to let them know of the situation that occurred inside the building. The same woman from the office did not want to give my boss the phone number to contact the manager. After talking to her for 5 minutes she finally gave him the number. I called the number and spoke with the manager. I tried explaining what happen to at their business and she told me the woman had every right to do what she had done to me because she was busy and she deals with the same situations on a daily basis. I let the lady go on about her employee and finally just told the woman to have a good day. The conversation was over.
