Echo Trans World President Of Company Deror Balileti Goes By Dan Cohen
Lied, scammed, damaged, stole, lost

I moved or tried to move with this company just this past month and as soon as they picked up our stuff, it became a nightmare. We had our stuff stored in a very small space that took up exactly 360cubic feet and we had used every inch of it. On top of that we had a few boxes that didnt fit, but only a few. After they picked up our stuff they waited a couple of days and sent us our invoice for 690 cubic feet at $5,900. I called them immediately to tell them that this was inccorrect and something was wrong. They tried to assure me everything was correct and that I wasnt taking in to account the extra space i had to pay for on each pallet. First i said well you never told me i would be paying for that and second, you are still wrong I know exactly how many cubic feet we had, because of the place we were storing it. Their number was an impossibility. THey said they would check on things. After a couple of days they said they remeasured everything and they took off 60 cubic feet... Again I called them and said NO we KNOW how much space we had. At this point they said they would take pictures of the pallets to show us that we WERE using that much space. They then proceeded to send us pictures of pallets THAT WAS NOT OUR STUFF. I called them again flipping out and demanding to know WHERE OUR stuff was. THey had to go. Said they would call us later. Three days later they call us saying they THINK they know what happened and they THINK they found our things, but would let us know. Three days later... Again... They've found our things, they mixed them up with someone elses. Woops... Took pictures, sent them to us. They Were our things this time. They said that after all of this because we were complaining and upset about everything and our things were going to be soooo late getting to us, they would send them right away, regardless of payment and because we were leaving the country in a couple of days, and they would also remeasure the stuff and send us a new invoice taking in to account all their mistakes. A week after being in the Uk we got the same invoice emailed to us. We though this must be a mistake or miscommunication between depts so waited for our contact to email us. He did two days later to ask for our payment SO THEY COULD SHIP OUR THINGS, because they hadn't. I then called to ask what was going on, they said they would ship them two weeks ago, and that they would remeasure our things and FIX the invoice... They said that they only agreed to do that if we agreed to pay them...

At this point we pointed out that we had, and we had a contract with them, we had agreed in writing to pay them already... They said, pay up, or pay for storage.
At this point we were finding all this horrible info about them on the net and we were terrified we would never get our stuff back or it would be horribly damaged. However the Federal Maritime Commission was able to help us a bit and we were able to sign a NEW contract with Echo Trans World that stipulated they would give us our stuff back and we would not complain about them to anyone or sue them as long as our stuff was all there and undamaged. Surprise surprise, our new moving company picked up our stuff, and was pushed out of the warehouse quickly, only to find out, 6 our boxes are missing and we have two boxes that do not even belong to us... We called Echo immediately to talk to the President who we had signed the new contract with and told him, He broke that contract, he told me he didnt like my attitude, started screaming at me (which was obviously a show to get me yelling) and then told me where to go and hung up. And that is all she wrote.
