It seems that their is a trend here... My experience was the same as previous complaintants. I used american pro movers for a move, in which i had to be out the next day, which limits ones options.
When getting a quote, I specifically asked if I could choose which items I would like shrink wrapped by the company. Of course you can was their response. On the day of the move, of course it was a completely different story. According to the representative, they would not move any items unless they shrink wrapped them according to what they thought. I asked to sign a waiver releasing them of liability which they claimed that they were unable to do. An orignially estimated 500 move quickly ballooned into close to a 1000 dollar move.
When they actually got to my house, boxes were being thrown around, items dropped right in front of the representative and me. I was told to file a claim which came no where close to actually covering what was actually broken.
The representatives for this company do not perform buisness in an ethical manner. Complaints filed are denied based on complete lies told by the representatives to cover their own interests. Buyer beware. Have extra money on hand.
