Beseda Flooring
No refund

I purchased a laminated floor from Beseda Flooring in St. Charles, MO. It was top dollar, commercial grade Armstrong Grand Illusions flooring, Melbourne Acacia L3024. The floor has had a defect since day one and I have been trying to resolve this matter with the retail store and Armstrong since that day. The floor has a 30 year warranty which Armstrong is NOT going to back. The company that I purchased the floor from will not help me and tell me their hands are tied. I met with the salesman Bart Canis from Beseda at my home for him to measure the floor and to make a $2000.00 deposit to order the floor for me on July 12. On August 16 I gave Beseda Flooring the final payment of $2000.00 when their employee delivered my goods. I was having my home remodeled at the time so the floor was not installed until approximately September, early October. As soon as the installation was completed there was clearly a defect with the product. I contacted Bart Canis to let him know there was indeed a defect. Bart Canis and an Armstrong rep came to my home to see the problem. At that time they tried to clean the floor with a spray solution but this did NO good at all. They were fully aware of the floor having a defect and contracted Amant's Floor Care to come to my home to see if this would solve the problem. Kevin Amant came to my home to measure and to investigate the floor and at which time we later set up an appointment to have the NEW floor cleaned. The workers employed by Amant's Floor Care came to my home on December 3 to clean the floor. After an extensive cleaning to the laminated floor, which is NOT good in the first place, the result was the same. The worker for Amants apologized and had told me they could NOT remove this substance (defect) that was clearly in the surface of the floor. Beseda promised me that Amants Floor Care which was the company they contracted could remove this defect, if any floor care company could. NO luck, it was worse after they had cleaned it because of buffer marks to the laminated floor. I do NOT hold Amant's floor care responsible as all they were doing was trying to help me. The day after Amants had cleaned the floor I contacted Mr. Brian Beseda (owner) to let him know my floor was still defective. Mr Kevin Amant also contacted Mr. Beseda stating they could NOT clean my floor that whatever substance was on the floor was permanent and could not be removed. After being very persistent with Mr. Beseda the owner of Beseda Flooring, Mr Beseda and yet another Armstrong rep came to my home once again to see the NOW cleaned floor. The rep from Armstrong tried cleaning my floor with some sort of spray solution as Mr. Beseda took pictures of the floor. The result was once again the same, the floor was defective. They sent a report to Armstrongs so called lab to do some investigating. On January 7 I contacted Mr. Brian Beseda once again asking what is happening with my faulty floor. He responded with "Oh you have not heard from Armstrong yet, let me call the rep and I'll get right back with you. He did to tell me he reached a voicemail. On January 9 I called once again asking what is going to happen with my defective floor and was told I should receive a letter from Armstrong within 72 hours. I ask Mr. Beseda just to tell me what the letter stated, he informed me that Armstrong is NOT going to stand behind their 30 year warranty and that his hands are tied. I now have a NEW floor that has been installed less than 5 months with a 30 year warranty which looks like a 30 year old floor in my newly remodeled home! I have been physically sick over this matter. The mental anguish that I have had to deal with all over spending $4000.00 on floor that I am NOW stuck with and no one to help me I'm hoping that you can please help me with this matter. I have contacted the Better Business Bureau and Contact 2 news in my area. I would like my $4000.00 refund plus the installation charge or replace with new flooring and all fees for removing existing floor and installation fees to have new floor installed again. I do have my 30 year warranty but apparently it is NO GOOD since they will not back it.

I have since contacted the Attorney General and they are working with me at this time.

I want a full refund of my money plus the cost of installation and a reinstall and a new install compensation.

They will do nothing! All I keep being told is the customer put something on the new floor so it is not their responsibility. Why would anyone in their right mind put something on a brand new floor that wasn't even completely installed?

I'm still fighting this almost 1 year later.

When viewing the pictures you will see the sun is shining in through the patio window. The entire floor is covered as you see in the pictures. Most noticeable when the sun hits it. It's a terrible mess.
