I'm just another one of the many to nearly be scammed by OSP Communications for a collect call that I did not receive. I finally got the charges reversed back to OSP by Verizon after the Verizon long distance service person was unable to reach OSP after forty plus minutes, while I was on hold and she would check periodically. Spent in total over two hours of work time to correct a scam in the amount of $7.38.
Verizon is a large technological communications company and they have to know that OSP is fraudulently billing people, yet Verizon still facilitates OSP in its efforts to defraud people. That's like letting a thief drive your car.
It's not my hassle that really angers me. What really angers me is that OSP is bilking the elderly, poor, disabled and uneducated. Verizon needs to cease and desist aiding and abetting criminal activity. I intend to file a complaint with the Public Utility Commission.
