A & E Factory Service
No Show and/or Call For Service Appointment

Our Whirlpool Cabrio Washing Machine was purchased on 5/10/08 from Lowe's and has never worked. We called Whirlpool to have it serviced. My husband went online and diagnosed the problem as the valve assembly needed to be replaced. So they (Whirlpool) had us call A&E Factory Service to fix it. They came at 8am the following day. My husband and I were rather upset that the service tech wanted to take apart our washer to see what was wrong with it, my husband asked him if he brought the valve that was needed and the tech said no. Well after a half an hour of debating with the service tech he called to get our part ordered and said to call them back to set up an install day. We got the part about 5 days later. We called them and set up an appointment for today. They said they would show up anywhere between 7am and 5 pm. At 1pm we had an appointment to go to and ended up canceling it because when we called A&E Factory Service to find out about what time they'd be here they pretty much told us that the repair tech had 8 more jobs and couldn't tell us when he'd be here. We filed a grievance with A&E about there time policy. When 5:15pm rolled around we called Whirlpool and filed a grievance with them that A&E did not show up for the appointment. We asked for another number (if they had one) to another company so we can get our washer fixed. They gave us 2 more numbers (one of which was closed and the other was sent to voicemail) and they put me on hold to call A&E to find out what the issue is. A&E subsequently went and told the Whirlpool CSR that they had called us from both of the numbers we had given them and we never answered the phone so they cancelled the appointment. When speaking to the CSR about what A&E said I asked what other number A&E may have because we only have 1 phone number (which was the one in Whirlpools system) and no one had called us because we have been home all day and we also have call display and an answering machine. The phone had not rang all day. The CSR said he asked A&E the same question about the other phone number but did not give the CSR a clear answer. The CSR than told me that he was going to file a complaint on my behalf about today and wished me a good week-end. Now to find someone that will fix my washing machine...

No offence folks... I love Maytag/Whirlpool but after this experience I am debating ever purchasing one of their products again. I am also going to tell all of my friends and family never to call A&E Factory Repair for any kind of repair service calls.

There is myself, my husband, and our 5 1/2 month old daughter in our home and I have not had a washing machine since May 10. This is silly to have to wait over 1 month (and counting) to have what was supposed to have been my Mother's Day gift working.
