I ordered pencils online from East Coast P&P through Penimpressions.com. I printed out a copy of my receipt that said I was paying $52.50 @ $0.21 for 250 pencils and $0.00 for S&H. Without my knowledge or notification I was charged $0.24 per pencil PLUS an extra $25 for a die plate charge (that was not mentioned at all on my printed confirmation) and $9.90 for S&H. I called and said that I received an email that read my order was shipped today and I was rudely interrupted and told angrily that it was shipped yesterday. Fine. I mentioned that my confirmation said specifically (with a star next to it) that the price included S&H fees, the lady told me that they would never do that. (I actually understand that. However, when my receipt tells me there is no S&H charge, I do expect that there will not be a S&H charge.) She also could not help me understand why they would not mention the $25 die plate charge.
My complaint is that I was told my credit card would be charged one price and then, without my consent, was charged $42.40 more. East Coast Pen & Pencil Co. Was not upfront with the actual cost of the order. Charged my credit card more than I initially agreed to.
