I paid a contractor $25,000.00, basically for a rehab on our property. He was suppose to put in new doors, new roof, bathroom, kitchen, paint, HVAC, and carpet all floors. He started the job and never finished it and of course, will not answer our phone calls.
In the middle of the job we got a phone call from the contractor saying our house was vandalized. He told us that it had to be the HVAC guy because he had to get someone else to finish the job and that the man was angry. Also, because they professionally took out the HVAC unit. Also, the walls were painted with black spray paint. And how funny is it that I was at the house and found the same spray paint can in the cabinet with the receipt.
He gave us a roof certificate and invoice. So, when our roof was leaking and he was not returning our calls, I called the roofing company myself only to find out that he never used them and made up phony invoices with there name on it. So, I had to pay them to get my roof fixed.
