I placed an order with Dimout.com on 4/24/08. I immediately received an automatic confirmation email afterwards. My account was charged the amount of $44.58 (including shipping) on 4/28/08.
15 days later, I did not receive any kind of confirmation of shipment, so I sent an email on 5/6/08, via www.dimout-support.com and received an automatic response stating that I would receive a response shortly. On 5/9/08 I received a response that the item was back ordered until 5/16/08 (only 6 days from the time the email was sent). So I waited.
I received another email 5/13/08 saying that my item was on back order until 6/18/08.
I called that day to cancel my order and asked for a refund. The woman I spoke with over the phone told me that my order had been canceled and I should be receiving a credit to my account shortly.
I waited until 5/16 and called again. I was told i would receive the credit by that following Tuesday (the 20th).
I called again ON 5/20 and was told I would receive it by 5/28.
I sent an angry email on 5/28 inquiring about my refund. I received an apologetic response on 5/30 stating my credit will go through on 6/02.
It is 6/02 TODAY and I still have yet to receive my refund.
I should note that they have a peculiar way of answering their phone. It is rare that I get through to someone on the phone when I call this company. 90% of the time that I call I get an answering machine that says, "all lines are busy, please call back." Usually when you call a company with an 800 number, you are put on hold until a representative is available.
This company in my opinion appears to be run out of someone's house. When I spoke with someone she asked me to hold while she, "got to her desk". The emails that I receive are from someone using very bad grammar, using run on sentences and no punctuation. That makes me nervous when dealing with a company. It makes me wonder, "Are these people legit?"
Every time I send an email using their, "problem ticket" system on their support website, they send me an email saying that I will receive my refund on "so and so" date, and afterward they close my issue as "resolved". NOTHING has been resolved. I am still waiting. These people have stolen my money.
