Like so many others I've read about, my company too was the victim of ILS Teleservices and their supposed "Online Services Monthly Service Fee". It showed up on my Ameritech phone bill. $29.95 plus taxes, total $32.65. I almost missed it as it was on the back of the last page.
I called Ameritech. They were very helpful and flagged the charges as "disputed". They also put a block on my account so that future charges would not be assessed. They then told me I would have to call ILS directly.
I called the 800 number and was put on hold for nearly 20 minutes, subjected to mind-numbing "music". At one point a message came on asking me to press one to have someone call me back. I decided to hold out for a person. After 10 more minutes, I heard a loud click and found myself cut off. While on hold, I hit the web and found this website. I thought I'd add my story to the rest.
