The company's management specifically told us about how their job is to simplify lives and help people to live intelligently. The management really wants every person who buys a system to feel valued. The concern for each customer's experience starts at the top, and is reflected in the action of every employee they hire.

The company also works to monitor their sales and customer support calls to see how they can be improved. They use these calls as examples for employees in training. Currently, Vivint is working to make changes to their contracts to make things easier for their customers as they have found that many of their complaints stem from feeling misled or customers paid fees they did not feel they authorized.

APX Alarm - Door To Door Salesman In Little Rock Salesman claimed that he was working in conjunction with the City of Little Rock Little Rock Arkansas

The salesman showed up at my mother-in-laws house, which I own. Since I owned the home, he wanted to speak with me, so she called. He said that he was working in conjuction with the City of Little Rock to upgrade alarm systems more than 2 years old in our neighborhood, since the "crime problems" were getting worse.

I asked him what type of upgrade and he told me that they were installing a free cellular backup system because burglars in the area were cutting people's telephone lines. I asked him if he could come back next week, since I was at work and did not have time to deal with this at the moment, and that's when he told me the free upgrades can only be done "today and tomorrow".

My red flag sensor went way up and I politely told him that that was OK, just leave your information with my mother-in-law and I would get back in touch. He informed me that it would cost about $160 to get this installed any other day and said that I should take advantage of the free upgrade. I told him, again, to leave his information and I would get back with them.

After getting off the phone, I called the police to see if they knew anything about working with this company, as he stated. The officer said no, but it sounds like someone has talked their way into your mother-in-laws house that doesn't need to be there. I asked him if they ever worked with any companies to upgrade alarm systems, and he told me "NO!". He said I could check with City Hall and the Mayor's Office to see if they had anything to do with this, so I did. Neither City Hall nor the Mayor's office knew anything about this company claiming to be working in conjuction with the city.

So I called my mother-in-law back to get the guy's information, but he did not leave any. He was apparently at my house next door scoping it out. She called him back over to talk to me, and I asked him again to leave his information with my mother-in-law, and he said he would.

I found out later, that he did not leave his information, even though I had requested it several times. The next day, he shows up again. This time, I'm home, so I talk to him. I told him that I wouldn't do business with any company misrepresenting themselves like that, and he argued that he was not. I asked for documentation or some proof that he was working with the city. He produced a busines license from the city. I told him that everyone had to have a business license to operate in the city, and that didn't mean that he was working in conjunction with the city, but he disagreed.

So just be warned, this company trains their employees to lie, cheat, steal to get you to switch to their monitoring company. He also claimed that APX was owned by Honeywell, which I cannot find any evidence of. I told this guy to leave my yard.
