August 07 we received HDTV and the first tech that Dish Network sent smelled of booze when he came to the house. He refused to go into the attic to run the cable lines down to our new TV and to our TV in the bedroom. He said it was company policy not to go up there when it was over 90%. Which we found out later is a lie. There policy is if they have to go up in the attic they are supposed to do it early in the morning.

The second technician sent to our house told this to us. The first tech did not complete the work properly and acted as if he could care less about being there. His work failed we kept losing the signal and had to call Dish Network for another tech.

The second technician from Dish Network came and looked things over and explained that the last tech did not adjust the satellite properly. He also said the other tech never properly connected the fittings outside or weather sealed them. We continued to lose signal several more times. Then eventually the hard drive on the HDTV receiver went out.

I called Dish Network and they said they would mail another receiver to me at my cost and I could hook it up and send the old one back. They never offered to take care of the problem with one of their technicians. Therefore, I hooked it up properly and then 4 days later that receiver hard drive went bad. We found out later that all their HDTV receivers are 95% refurbished. So once again I called Dish and told them I will not pay for another shipping fee, I want reimbursed for the first bad receiver they sent and I want a tech to come install the next one free of charge. I said someone needs to come take care of all the issues we have been having. They gave us some compensation but of course we had to make several phone calls to get it taken care of.

They sent another (3rd) receiver and an outside contracted technician named Carlos came and installed it. He checked out everything and ask me why none ever grounded our system. I said don't ask me. Therefore, he grounded it and made sure our HDTV was set to the proper viewing to match our TV. No other tech had done this. We began losing signal 1 to 2 days later and then of course the hard drive failed on that receiver.

On 4-10-08 Carlos returned and put on another antennae on the dish replaced the receiver with a new, not a refurbished receiver and rechecked everything. Well the 4th new receiver failed so I called Carlos once again. He came back on 4-16-08 installed another new HD receiver (the 5th) and rechecked things. However, he did not check our 2nd TV in the bedroom and we had no TV in there. Therefore, I had to call him back to fix that situation. This has been an on going bad situation since 8-08 when we switched to their HDTV system.

On 4-18-08 at 10:40 am Gerri Sanitation from Dish Network called me saying she is from their dispute department. She asks if our equipment was working ok and if there was anything she could do. I informed her about all our previous problems and said we were not satisfied with Dish Network only giving us 3 months free. For all our problems and time spent on their bad equipment, customer service, and technicians we should receive at least 8 months free. I told her we paid our bill every month and expect the same from them. She said 3 months free was all we were getting and it did not matter if I kept the complaint with the Better Business Bureau because the complaint would come to her anyhow.

Therefore, I ask for her supervisor's name and phone number. She gave me Tim Lanoie as her supervisor and his phone number as 720-514-8668. On 4-18-9 at 11:09 am I called Tim's number and let a voice mail along with my work phone and cell phone asking for a call back. As of now 4-27-08 12:00pm I still have not received a return call. On 4-29-08 I called Tim once again and got his voice mail and let yet another message. As of today 4-30-08 at 4:50 we still have not received a return call.

On 4-30-08 we received our bill from Dish and of course it was wrong. We did not get the month free as stated by Gerri back on 4-18-08.in fact they charged us for Cinemax, which was supposed to b free per Gerri on 4-18-08. Therefore, our bill is still incorrect.
Sue called again to Tim's phone on 4-30-08 at 5:00 pm and got the voice mail again. Sue let yet another voice mail stating our most recent trouble and asks for a return call.

On 4-30-08 at 5:30 pm Sue also called the 1-800 number for Dish Network and talked to a man named David # 32Z. He was no help whatsoever and would not tell her where he was located. He would not get a supervisor on the line and eventually hung up on her. Very lousy customer service I would say.

I tried calling Tim Lanoie once again on 5-1-08 at 10:50 am and of course received his voice mail. I let a message along with my cell phone number. So far at this time 5-1-08 12:00 pm we have not received any calls from anyone at Dish Network.

Something needs to be done about such horrendous treatment of their customers. Can you believe this is how their SUPERVISORS are handling their issues. They honestly should hang their HEADS in SHAME!!!
