I had Dish Network for over 2 years. I just recently bought an 46" Sony LCD HDTV and wanted new service, actually HDTV receiver to be installed with anew cable jack line fished to another wall. Does that request seem difficult? Two weeks later and waiting for them to come over my house to install a new jack and HDTV i had enough. It also seems that Dish Network used 3rd party contractors to perform the work for Dish Network. Both contractors did not perform the job and the work order was different from what I ordered. I called Dish Network and they said the work order was right. The right hand does not know what the left is doing. Dish Network seems does not care about the quality of customer service. Yesterday, I cancelled my account and my mother's account and my brothers account, since i pay for all of them. That is approximately 250.00 per month. The funny thing is that I was charged approximately 50.00 for them coming over my house to install a new line but they said they will credit that charge. When I called yesterday, the charge was still on and I had to pay another 50.00 for Dish Network coming over and uninstalling the equipment. The best part is coming. On saturday i called to cancel and I got a account representative and said that he will send an actual Dish Network technician on Sunday 12/10 between 12-5pm to install a new line and the HDTV receiver. I called then approximately 4:30 pm and they said they had no record of the work order. I even talked to the account reps. Supervisor and they assured me they will be out to sdo the work on Sunday plus they gave me 1/2 month off from my cable bill but I told them money was not the issue and I just wanted the service. Come Sunday, nobody came and i cancelled 3 accounts. DO NOT buy DISH NETWROK since they will lie to you regarding installation which makes them very unethical. Bad company to do business with.
