Complaint / Review
ENationwide Van Lines
Stole 80% of $4126, did not pay transporter, goods held "hostage" in Long Beach, CALIFORNIA

In February, I contracted with a business in Kent, WA to take care of our move from Las Vegas, NV to Pahoa. I sent $4126.00 to "[email protected]" via PayPal to initiate the process of the move. This money was to pay for services to Gem Trucking/C&F Transportation to pick up our household goods, pay for the driver's to load the truck and start the shipping process for a "water move" via Matson Shipping Lines. On March 16 the driver and mover picked up our goods and transported them to Long Beach, CA to load them.

Unfortunately, here is where things go very, very bad. I sent repeated e-mails to eNationwide Van Lines to inquire about the status of our household. I was told that, first, Jay had been injured in a "horrible accident" and that Peter was working with Gina Clutcher, the resident agent and treasurer of eNationwide Van Lines, to get my goods to me. Then I received what I call a "canned response" to one of my e-mails that there was some damage done to their building, but they would get back to me as soon as possible, as their e-mail system was xperiencing problems.

As of today, April 30, eNationwide Van Lines has not updated the status of my move. They were paid 80% of the total cost of the move because it is a "water move". After much research, a friend and I have located the gentleman, Peter, of C&S, who has states he has our household goods in storage and that he will not put them on the boat for 2 reasons. The first is that my shipment was heavier than originally estimated and therefore I owe an additional $1500.00. The second reason is that he has NOT BEEN PAID ONE PENNY from eNationwide Van Lines!

I have filed a complaint for THEFT in the initial amount of $4126.00. I have done all research and need these people at eNationwide Van Lines prosecuted to
the fullest extent of the law. This is blatant theft of money, and in turn, I have no household goods.

To make matters worse, they have an active website and it still allows people to ask for a quote. I was told that the company has ceased operations temporarily BUT I was also informed that the company is out of business. Phones and faxes are disconnected.

Please help me with this, as I have also filed with IC3, FMCSA and FTC among others to try to assist.

Jason Smith is the "president" and Gina Clutcher is the resident agent and "treasurer" of the company.
