I was hired by Gulf Fleet Management in Lafayette, LA through a hiring agency by the name of Quest Marine out of Theodore, AL. My position at the time was an Able Bodied Seamen and I was to work a 28 day on and a 14 day off schedule.
On every paycheck issued to me by Gulf Fleet Management, Quest Marine took out a percentage for finding me the job! Well after a 14 day period I was supposed to recieve a check from Quest Marine, and I did not. I then tried to call Quest Marine and there phone number had been disconnected, GO FIGURE!
So I called Gulf Fleet Management and spoke with the personnel manager, Sean Lasaigne. Sean advised me that he had no clue as to why Quest Marine's number was disconnected and told me that he would call Butch on his cell phone and ask where my money was.
Butch is the "owner" of Quest Marine and I know several people in the oil field industry who has since told me their peoblems with Quest Marine and Butch. This happened in 2007 and I have yet to recieve my money, and know one with the companies will speak to me over this matter.
