I am a PFC transferring from the Army National Guard to Active Duty Army. I was processing at the Military Entrance Processing Station in Raleigh, NC. And finished before my Recruiter came to pick me up, so I used the pay phone in the lobby (because cellular phones are not permitted in the recruit processing area)
The phone would accept my change but would not connect the call.
So I used my debit card to make a local call to my wife to come and get me so I wouldn't have to wait around all day. I attempted to make 5 calls and on the last attempt my wife answered the phone, I gave here the address, talked for about 9 min. Total, and hung the phone up.
I got home, checked my bank statement and this is what i see:

After calling my bank and another NCIC services (also located in Longview, Texas) to find out WTF is going on, I finally reach a very rude manager by the name of Randy at NCIC Phone Services, who not so nicely stated that I should know what the cost was before placing the call.
Then he told me that 4 of my calls went through for a total of 17 min. And a cost of $39.11 and I would have to wait 5 to 7 business days to receive the other funds that are on hold.
I faxed a copy of my phone statement to him showing that only 1 call went through and have not gotten a response.
NCIC Phone Services Is A Terrible Company Who Rips Off Anyone Who Use There Services.
I am a PFC with 3 children and another on the way. I cant afford to wait 5 to 7 days for $100 to be released from hold because of a sorry company like this.
