I am a florist and i want everyone to hear about how appalled i am with teleflora and ftd. Teleflora, on their website charges consumers $7 extra for every flower arrangement ordered (that we never see, we meaning the people who actually make your flowers) and on top of this mark up they charge you a service fee of $11-$16 that we also will never see, on top of this $18-$23 that these internet order gatherers take from you [literally] they are taking 23% of every order that comes in through their system. So not only are you out $18-$23 that you will never see again, only 77% of the money you paid will be "used" by the florist.
Solution? Find a LOCAL florist, that way all these problems about non delivery and dead flowers can be dealt with in one simple step, call the florist whom you ordered from DIRECTLY! You can actually talk to real life people who handled your flowers and/or delivered them and these people can tell you what happened and how they will fix it [if there was a problem].
These extra fees are not only with teleflora and ftd, it's with 1800flowers.com, findaflorist.com, any place where you put an order in but there is no local address on the website. Always always call in your orders to make sure you are getting what you want, when you want it! Being a consumer means getting 100% of what you paid for. Not 77% of part of what you paid for! Stop letting these order gatherers literally take your money!
