Unprofessional, deceitful and dishonest company

Gail Muphey entered into a contract for services on March 22 for the pick up and delivery of a horse out of Knoxville Illinois. Gail Murphey stated she would arrive at the ranch in Illinois on or before April 1 and have the horse delivered within 3-5 days in San Diego California. Gail Murpheys Mission Statement states among other things "pick up and delivery on time" and "regular communication before and during the trip".

By April 2nd no communication had been made by Gail Murphey to confirm the horse had been picked up as contracted, nor to notify that any change in plans had occurred. A call to her yeilded a curt response in which she claimed she was making an emergency side trip to Florida first, but would have the horse picked up by the 4th at the latest.

When no communication was received by April 4th Gail Murphy was contacted both by the seller of the horse (who has had to incurr additional stable fees beyond what she had agreed to endure for this sale) and myself. - the buyer (who also has had to encure two weeks of stable fees for a horse that is not present) Gail stated she would have the horse picked up no later than April 11th.

When April 11 came and went with no response or communication from Ms. Murphey I contacted her again (3rd call). Ms. Murphey stated "I just spoke with the seller and told her we would be there no later than mid next week... We have to make a delivery to Minnesota first, then we'll be picking up your horse". Ms. Murphey made no attempt to apologize for her two week delay, she simply hung up the phone.

I contacted the seller of the horse, who contracted the delivery of this horse with P.E.T. S and advised her of Gail Murpheys statements, and claim that she had spoken with the seller. It turns out Gail Murphey lied about having informed the seller of the time-table, transportation issues involving Minnesota, etc. Though the seller did confirm that in her last communication with Gail Murphey that she received the same unprofessional service.

Gail Murphey has shown herself to be both a liar and completely unprofessional in terms of her business. If your Mission Statements first objective is "pick up and delivery on time", and your other includes "regular communication before and during the trip" it would make sense that you attempt to live up to those statements, especially when you are charging nearly $1,000 and are dealing with live animals.
