Where to I begin.in November I paid $797 through a faxed check to become the Fairfield County, CT Certified Real Estate Consultant. I was to promote their website links and earn commission from individuals who signed up to list their homes on their for sale by owner real estate sites. Also for anyone who took their most expensive package I would get paid $250 to perform various services for the home seller.
I was never able to access my account so I could never promote the business. I was promised so many times that things were being worked on and my account would be ready in a few days. Weeks went by, then months. I contacted them dozens of times through their online ticket system. Phone calls. Fax and in writing. I begged for a human to speak too but other then early one when I spoke to "Tom" (who told me the account would be active in 24 hours, that was about 4 weeks into my ordeal), I could not get anyone to call me. There phone numbers when to an answering service. On at least 4 occassions I left a message with the service but no one would return the calls. I just wanted to get the service working so I could work "the plan".
At one point probably 3 months into this I was told I had I believe $1,288 in commissions in my account. The problem was because I couldn't access my account I could never check the commissions nor could I get the money because you had to do that through the account.
Long story short, I gave up in fustration. I was told I could get a refund but they had to get a release from their attorney stating I was giving up my commissions and relenquishing my territory. That release never came. I contact them (through their ticket system which no longer exists) and they said the refund was approved. I was giving time frames in the past of 24 hours. On March 20th I inquired where my money was an I was informed it would be processed on the 24th of March. On the 26th I again contacted them and they said the checks went out on the 26th.
They explained it was in the agreement when they issue checks something like onces a month. I was told 1200 checks when out bulk rate. (What company in their right mind sends out commission and refund checks bulk rate?) I was told I should receive it March 31st or April 1st. Now it's April 6th and no check. I went back to the website and surprise, no more help ticket system. No phone number for billing. The website looks like it now belongs to a certified real estate consultant from Newark, NJ the same place I thought the company was from. Now the websites says their corporate office is in Seattle.
This company has jerked me around for 5 months now. I never received any services for my money. I never collected a penny of commissions that was suppose to be in my account and I can't seem to get my refund that they promised was mailed. Something was fishy with the refund when after they allegedly sent out the refund I was offered an opportunity to get a faxed or online check but stupid me thought... Gee the checks in the mail, makes no sense to get this online version, I 'll give it a few days.
Not that I actually thought I would get an online check. When offer if the check was already mailed.
Anyways I registered the domain and let them know about it. I was told to rethink that because they are in the process of suing someone who did something similiar. I've sued my passed municipal employer for violation of my First Amendment rights when they suspended me and threatened to terminate my employment because I went to the press about improper hiring of the Chief of Police's son and won. I know a few things about my First Amendment Rights. As long as what is stated is true or not knowingly false I'm protected.
I plan on putting all my email... Eticket correspondence online at so you can judge for yourself. I only wish I had logged the dates I called but when you read the email/ticket correspondence you can see what kind of company you are dealing with.
