I joined gibson trust in November and signed up with a "Sergio Alexis" (who no longer works there). For the first few months, my payments were made but late.in june, no payment was made and I called and spoke to a counselor, Mark Lewis, who said that he will look into it.
After that incident, I received in October another bill from my creditors stating that the last payment they had received was in August and that they were going to drop me from the program. I called customer service today (11/06/02) and told them this. The rep I spoke to, told me that all he could do was contact my creditors to see if they'll agree to drop my rates and that he had no way of assuring me that the payments will be made. He even suggested that if i wrote a letter to the board of directors and they refused to refund my money, just forget about it or file a suit.
He was very nonchalant and did not give a damn. I have decided to file a lawsuit against gibson trust. I will also call the Florida State Attorney's Office, but I hear they are dragging their feet. I will continue to fight until I get my money back and see Gibson Trust shut down for good.
