Gibson Trust Inc ripoff deceptive company scam con artists

My husband and I entered into a contract with Gibson Trust, Inc., in October. Since that time, we have had nothing but problems with this company. My husband and I were not on the verge of bankruptcy. As a matter of fact we both had perfect credit. The only problem was that we had some credit cards that had high balances that we were interested in paying off. The idea of Gibson Trust contacting our creditors and having our interest rates lowered sounded great to us. We also liked the fact that we could send one payment to Gibson Trust and they would disburse our payments to our creditors. The idea was that once one account was paid in full, they would take the payment they were sending to the company that was paid in full and make that payment to a creditor that still had a balance.

I know that I could have done this myself, but unfortunately, I'm not that disciplined.in December, I gave Gibson Trust permission to withdraw $360.00 per month via ACH from my checking account to begin in January. After I had already mailed my $360 money order to Gibson Trust in December for my December payments, Gibson Trust proceeded to withdraw $360 from my checking account without my permission. Remember, they were not supposed to withdraw the money until January. I had to contact my bank and have the transaction reversed. Thank God my bank did that for me.

Beginning in January, everything was down hill from there. No one from Gibson Trust bothered to inform me that when I had my ACH withdrawal in December reversed, I could no longer have my payments withdrawn via ACH. I had assumed that Gibson Trust took my January payment out of my checking account via ACH. I immediately sent them my January payment by money order via USPS overnight mail. Other than the January payment, all of my payments to Gibson Trust have been timely. Unfortunately, Gibson Trust has not made payments to my creditors on time. I had to drop one of my creditors from the plan because they were charging late fees every month because they were not being paid.

Two of my other creditors have posted 30 days past due to my credit report. One of the creditors is showing 6 payments past due and the other one is showing 1 payment past due. When I contacted the creditors and informed them of the situation, they instructed me to have Gibson Trust write to them and verify that my payments have been on time and that for some reason, the payment from Gibson Trust were not getting to the creditors on time. When I approached Gibson Trust regarding this request, I was informed that they would not be willing to contact my creditors for me.

If you are currently having the same problem that I am having with Gibson Trust, I would highly suggest that you review your credit file. You can review a copy of your credit report by going to equifax.com. When I spoke with a representative at Equifax about my problem with Gibson trust, the representative stated "It looks like you have a lawsuit on your hands." When I spoke with a supervisor at Gibson Trust several months back regarding why my payments were not getting to my creditors timely, he actually used the September 11, attack on our country as an excuse. He stated that the U.S. Post Office that their mail is mailed out of was one that had an anthrax scare.

I can't believe that this company is sick enough to use something as devastating as the attack on our country on September 11, as an excuse for their incompetence.

I have had to pay one of my creditors $40 in order to get the payments to them caught up so that they would no longer report my account past due to the credit bureau. I have transferred the balance of my largest account to another credit card in order to be finished with Gibson Trust as far as sending them any money. On September 6, I sent a letter to the Board of Directors at Gibson Trust informing them that once they have mailed out all of my payments to two of my remaining creditors, those two creditors will be paid in full. I also informed them that I had to transfer one of my balances to another card, therefore my plan with them is complete. I also told them that I am not requesting, but I am demanding my initial $360 payment be returned to me. I am saving money every month now because I am not paying Gibson Trust $29 per month, paying for a money order, and having to pay for overnight mail in order for Gibson Trust to receive may payment by the first day of every month.
