I worked For Northwest Protective as a supervisor and I have to say it was a joke. I had one guard who lived close to his work site and he left the site to go home. Guards falsify reports. Office personnel also falsified reports. I reported on a report something that happened that made a fellow guard look bad and my supervisor falsified my report by writing a new report. Guards write down that they checked certain areas but actually did not. I had one guard who wrote down that he walked the area for approximately 20 minutes when he actually only walked the area approximately 3 minutes. The rest of the time he was sitting in the back watching TV. Guards sleep on duty. Some guards are just plain crazy, they act as if they're real cops carrying batons (ect). One guard actually carried handcuffs.
I wouldn't hire these losers to guard anything for me. I too slept on duty many times. I also left my site early many times and was never caught, leaving the work site un-guarded. Hey, if most other guards could do it, why not me. When I first joined we had a class, and after the class we all had to take a test.
After the test we switched papers with someone else for grading. The instructor gave the answers and we all graded tests. The idiot who graded my test marked me as having missed 8 wrong, barely passing. I marked him as missing 12, failed. I was certain that I did better so I asked the instructor to re-grade my test. I ended up missing zero. The idiot who couldn't correct a test properly was given several more attempts until he finally passed. That's how desperate they were for guards.
