I purchased 3 Ionic pro Air Purifiers in December. I agreed to let them withdraw $49.95 from my bank account [debit card] each month for the first two and I was told I had 3 months to decide on the third one to see if I was going to keep it.instead they took a payment out on it a week and a half later. I called them to ask them why they had and they kept saying they hadn't. I asked them to give me their fax no. To send proof they had from my bank. My bank tried several times to fax them proof but couldn't get it to go through.
After trying several times to send a fax to them [at least 15 times or more]they gave up. I called Ionic several times and the guy would say" it's the right number maybe there was no one there to recieve it". I tried several times and for the biggest part of my day to get it straightened out even by driving to my bank 30 miles away to fix it. I finally told them if they wanted the Ionics back to come to Missouri and pick them up.
My bank advised me to stop the debit card I had used to purchase them with and get a new one. So I did. I didn't pay them anything else but the 3 payments of $49.95. Now they have turned me over to a collection agency. What are my rights? I was not going to trust them after that to have access to my money. I tried my best to work this out but the guy was no help. I had asked him if I could talk to a supervisor and he was in a meeting twice [supposedly]. That's when I told him I would stop payment.
