Godaddy Resorts to Disgusting Techniques to Keep you From Leaving Them Internet

I was one of Godaddy's first customers, but have had numerous problems with their online domain management services. As a marketing consultant I sometimes purchase domain names for resale to clients. But so far I have NEVER been able to successfully transfer a single domain name on Godaddy to a new party. I call their Tech Support and am on the phone literally for HOURS. They assure me that the transfer is complete. But a year later, I get the email Expiration Notice to renew!

So I call Godaddy AGAIN and repeat the whole time-consuming exercise again. They assure me again that the transfer is complete. But then my client can't register the URL - because Godaddy still reports the URL is in my name! This is only one of the many stupid problems I've had with my 50 domain names at Godaddy. So I decided to switch to enom.com. That's when I discovered how embedded Godaddy's tricks are. As you prepare your domains for transfer, if you make any changes at all Godaddy forces you to sign a form that you acknowledge that you CANNOT TRANSFER THE DOMAIN NAME FOR ANOTHER 60 DAYS!!! What a RIP!!! And there's no way around the form.

Another annoying problem I've had with Godaddy is, I will UNLOCK all my domains - only to find them LOCKED a few days later - without my doing so! I have also changed the status of my URLs from Auto-Renew to manual - and naturally I check that status TWICE. You can imagine my anger at getting Godaddy emails later on that state that I have just AUTO-RENEWED some domain!!! This has happened TWICE since I informed Godaddy of my intention to transfer (they get informed because of the mandatory EPP Authorization Code request-process). But there's no way to determine WHO at Godaddy is messing around with my account - and I have still yet to transfer my 50 domains.

I've even tried to solicit the help of the enom.com tech support staff. After literally DAYS of being on the phone with them, they say that somehow Godaddy is not sending the transfer request auth. Codes, and without that notification they are helpless. This is just not right. My clients - who I referred to Godaddy tell me of the many problems they experience also. I hate that company!
