I called this company (ALARMPRO, of PALM COAST, FL, on ENTERPRISE DR., with president NORM MUGFORD) to have an estimate for an alarm system. A man came to my home, sweaty, dirty, and with a bad attitude. He walked in, went to two windows, a door, looked around, and wrote me a quote of $1700. At first, I thought this was a little off, because all the other companies were around $250.
To make me buy the system, the pitch was "the equipment is yours and the monitering is cheap". I had them come back, because I believed the garbage. After a couple of hours, I heard a siren and knew the job must have been completed. I came downstairs, to find another dirty, sweaty, and foul-mouthed individual ready to take my check.
I was very unhappy with the relative cockiness of the individuals I spoke with in person and on the phone, and told them I did not want monitering from them. They put some kind of lock on my system (AFTER I paid them!) and now I can't use it. So "MY" equipment, is unusable now and I'm completely ripped off for almost two thousand dollars.
When i had another company come out to use "MY" equipment, but set up for their monitering, they found that most of the wiring was WRONG, the motion detectors were NEVER aimed correctly (motions DIDN"T EVER WORK!!!), and when going into the attic, they found that someone had drilled wrong holes several times and went through my air ducts.
When I called to find out what happened to my home while their employees were there, I just got "it wasn't us" and "we can't help you".
After making a public rant about this company (ALARMPRO, of PALM COAST, FL), I found that several of their ex-employees had interesting things to say. All the employees had been hired and fired within three months and none of them had any experience. When a local business owner contacted me (local surf shop), he informed me that he was robbed for a large amount because this company had IMPROPERLY installed his motion detectors. He too, received the same negative attitudes from the office of ALARMPRO (of PALM COAST, FL, located on ENTERPRISE DR.).in fact, he was told they'd sue him if he ever mentioned it. Using this information, I contacted the ALARMPRO employee who investigated the situation... Reluctantly, he informed me that he DID IN FACT find problems with the motion sensors, but couldn't say anything. This company (ALARMPRO of PALM COAST, FL) is a RIP-OFF. They are LIARS and should be forced out of business. I am livid with these people (ALARMPRO, PALM COAST, FL)
