I was looking around the internet for some moving companies to move my belongings from Pensacola Fla to Indiana. (price shopping) I called several companies for a price quote.
On Febuary 10th I spoke with Antony Garcia ext # 247 with Nationwide was the 1st to return my call. He gave me a quote of 1283.64 to move 790 lbs. He was a real charmer because unfortunatly I ended up trusted him.
See my x husband is in Florida, and I thought their would be issues on getting my belongings out of the house. Quote Andy said "NO WORRIES! Ill take care of everything and ill be right along side of you the whole move & If I need to I will call the police, because he cant keep you out of a home that has your name on it. He made me feel secure knowing this.
He asked for a $537.02 deposit to assure my date I needed for the move in 3 weeks, and that I didnt have alot of time to decide on what to do.
I asked him if this company was a brokage co. And he said no and he was glad I asked and then started telling me about those kinds of companies and to be aware!!! The 1 thing he didnt tell me is that a legit moving company such as allide ect... Only ask's for a small deposit or even a percentage. Not like $537.02!!
Well then the other moving companies start calling offering the same move for anywhere from $695.00 and up (most around $750.00) This was within 24
hours of Andy recieving the deposit which i had 72 hours to cancel. I called him back to cancel and he started telling me about these broker and what ripoffs they are and dont trust them!!! That my belongings could be stolen and I would never see them again!!! (he scared the death out of me!) So I let it ride... After I faxed him the final paperwork (contract) he seemed to have forgotten all about me & what he assured me of.
3 days later I recieve an email from someone else, letting me know that they will be watching over my move, That never happened. I called nationwide to complain and spoke to a Jarvis (very nice guy) but I couldnt get any father up the food chain to get to whomever I needed to to get this all resolved.
This man took 537.02 just to talk to me on the phone and call a moving company and turn my paperwork over to them. THATS IT!!! That is why i was shopping around! Plus they are brokers beware!!! And the biggest of ripoffs! They take advantage of women like myself and others and that isnt right!!! Then make us feel bad if we decide not to use their services, all for that commission!!!
Well yesterday March 13th, My belongings are delivered by Quality Services Moving out of Newington, Va. (A very nice group of folks to deal with!) OMG
the driver about one of the kindest and honest people I have ever met!!! And he was very much concerned about my lifting things and keeping from tracking mud into my house!!! He is a very caring individuale!"Hats off to him"!!
They are very much aware of Nationwides antics and discruntaled customers whom were not told the truth, and their left holding the bag per say.
If I had called them to move my belongings directly it would have only cost me what I paid them anyways when they delivered my belongings $ 746.62
for a minimum of 2,000 lbs. (mine was 790 lbs)
I get a little check every 3 months and that is what I have to live on.
It took me some time to save up money to have this done in the 1st place, then to have a company just blantently rip me off!!! Somethings not right here. I hope Mr. Garcia has the chance to read this and see what kind of a human being he is and what kind of company he represents!!! (even though im sure they tell them to do whatever is nessesary) and I wonder how he sleeps on his pillow at night!!!
