I found the complaint while searching for a company address so I could report this company to the Better Business Bureau. I have never delt with a company that is so difficult to communicate with. After trying for a month to get through on their phones, writing complaint letters and emails I finally was given a call back number and spent over one hour on hold! All this to get credit for a check previously cashed by GTL. The woman I spoke to was very rude.
This entire experience is simply unbelievable. And yet after reading what others are going through my experience was not as bad as many. I am planning to notifiy the BBB as well as my congressmen and senators. This company has no business holding hostage the families of those who are in correctional facilites. We would never willingly stay on hold for hours in other situations but in this case GTL holds the power of communication with our loved ones. The woman I spoke to said I was on hold so long because 500 others are on hold... That just says it all doesn't it?
